The insulated transformer is used for the inter-line surge protection of the communication and control lines of the computer room, wireless transfer station, mobile phone base station, etc.

The device side and the external cable side are insulated to prevent induced lightning surges from cutting off abnormal voltages caused by rising geodetic potential.
